The world is currently thriving in an age of great technological advancements. These can be attributed to the application of telecommunication and computing use in day to day life. It is quite unlikely therefore to thrive in such an environment without use of this IT Strategy. Manipulation of these elements has therefore being used in almost all organizations and business setups for promotion and communication.

The cornerstone of laying a communication and computer networking channel is greatly determined by the target consumption group. This is because their size will determine the type of infrastructure that will be required. Local use may require cheaper requirements. But if the target information consumers are wide spread, then more resources are required to establish a communication system.

The size of the organization is a reference for the type of infrastructure to implement. A small organization would do well with a cabled network system. This is because it is easier to maintain such a system and does not require frequent servicing. It does not require highly trained personnel in case of a breakdown so it is also cheap. A larger organization may require both cabled and wireless infrastructure which may prove more efficient due to the large number that is targeted to access the system.

Sensitivity of information being transmitted also dictates the type of structures to be used. If the target recipients are a certain group of people strictly, then a cabled networking system should take an upper hand. The wireless system stands at risk of easily being hacked into. An encryption measure should be considered for highly sensitive information that can be devastating in the wrong hands.

Setups vary with each other depending on the amount of data they send. When an organization deals with huge volumes of data and information, then it should consider getting a method that will avoid congestion. Such organizations include media houses and broadcasting stations. Mobile phone providers also must consider such systems to avoid congestion.

Operational cost is a good consideration when coming up with a structure. Some form of telecommunication and computer networking will require additional personnel for monitoring. These add up to liabilities. A good system should be within what the organization can easily afford. Operator and equipments being used must be locally available.

Policies and regulation of the state on different computer and telecommunication networking should be considered. Some forms will require special licensing which increases the cost. These are especially the ones that use waves in broadcasting. A cheaper method is used if alternatives are available.

Any system that handles information in volumes requires a backup plan. This is because they all have a chance of shutdown and breakups. If there is no effective backup, valuable data can be lost in such an occurrence. It is therefore expedient to have an effective backup that will keep the system running while the other is down for repair.

Consider the devices needed by recipient to retrieve the information. It would be of no use to send information which cannot be retrieved by the recipient. Provide devices required for such or use a common method easily retrieved using home appliances. An IT Strategy is vital.
